Clubs
Bike Club
Clinton West Bike Club is for students in fifth grade. Interested students apply to be in the club and members must be respectful at all times and maintain a C or higher grade average. The Bike Club teaches bike safety and allows the students to ride in the community. Students who successfully complete the program can earn a bike!
Safety Patrol
Students in fourth or fifth grade can participate in the Safety Patrol. Students involved in Safety Patrol work closely with the school safety coordinator and help to monitor the stairways during arrival and dismissal each day. They are also able to assist during special events by helping guide guests to the proper location and monitor the halls.
Student Council
Music
In elementary music classes, students will learn and practice the basic fundamental elements of music such as sound, melody, harmony, rhythm, and expression (dynamics, tempo, articulation). Students will engage in singing, playing instruments, responding to music with movement, and connecting with various cultures through music. These classes will help students develop creativity, self-expression, and problem-solving while creating music together as a team. These classes will also provide students with performance opportunities, which will help them develop a sense of ensemble, tolerance, perseverance, and rigor—enabling them to be well-rounded citizens of our global society.
There will be grade-level music performances throughout the year. Watch for updates on social media and Talking Points.
