Welcome To Clinton West Elementary!
Clinton West Elementary School is a unique community school that teaches the whole child in a safe environment to engage in and improve our ever-changing world. Together, with the westside Tulsa community, our mission is to:
- Educate all scholars by empowering them to be lifelong learners and modeling that in our own lives.
- Provide access to opportunities to hone their skills, character traits, and values necessary to be successful in a changing world.
- Challenge scholars to achieve their maximum potential in an engaging, inspiring, and safe learning environment.
We have thriving, award-winning gifted and talented and multilingual learners programs at Clinton West. Our teachers collaborate with other teachers and students for enrichment, challenges, and success.
Opportunities for Mentorship
Clinton West Elementary students have a community of volunteers who want to see them succeed. Whether they hear from a former peer about life beyond elementary school or eat lunch with a volunteer from different collaborators and partners, we want to help our students build meaningful relationships. Our students also participate in Reading Partners, which has trained volunteers deliver individualized one-on-one tutoring for elementary students to achieve early literacy.
Clinton West uses our new STEM Lab donated by Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation and Devon Energy to continue to broaden all aspects of learning utilizing science, technology, engineering, and math. It will be used with the curriculum, as an enrichment activity, and as an after-school club. Students will enjoy hands-on creation to make learning come to life and connect with their world.
Leader In Me School
We are a Leader in Me school and use the 7 Habits of Happy Kids to help students learn the academic and social-emotional skills and mindsets necessary to be their best self at home and at school as evidenced by setting and achieving positive goals, showing empathy for others, making responsible decisions, and maintaining positive relationships.
